”The 2014 De Fieuzal was following the Domaine de Chevalier Rouge and frankly that's a difficult act to follow. It certainly does not possess the same precision of fruit concentration, perhaps enduring a reticent, broody stage of its evolution. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and well-judged acidity. Here perhaps more representative of the wine, building in the mouth towards a lovely cedar-tinged finish, leaving you on a high note. Hopefully the aromatics will develop with bottle age and then it will merit a higher score." Neal Martin

”This is a rare instance where an estate’s 2008 may be better than their 2010. The latter wine possesses plenty of super-ripe red and black fruits as well as hints of graphite, crushed rocks and white flowers. There is elegant minerality and a medium-bodied palate, but copious tannins kick in in the finish. Five to seven years of cellaring will be essential for this structured, masculine effort." ”A terrific, classic Graves with notes of subtle smoke, black raspberries, black currants, graphite and unsmoked cigar tobacco, this full-bodied, deep, concentrated de Fieuzal is far more generous and deep than most vintages of the past. There is also a wonderful freshness and length to this somewhat oversized de Fieuzal while it still maintains its elegance and class.“ Robert Parker

"A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Bravo!” Robert Parker

"Probably the best Fieuzal I have tasted in many a year, the 2005 has a dense purple color and a gorgeous nose of charcoal, graphite, blackcurrants, cherries and earth. It is medium to full-bodied and very rich, with ripe tannin and a multidimensional mouthfeel. This is a superb wine and a great success for the château. Drink it over the next 25+ years.” Robert Parker

Renowned for its white wines, which are considered to be some of the best in Bordeaux, Château de Fieuzal is located on one of the best sites in the Graves appellation. The quality of the red wines was recognised in 1959 when they were awarded the official status of Graves Grands Cru Classé. The property was named after the family that owned it up until 1851 with each of the 6 families who have owned it over the last 400 years leaving their mark. The Château is now owned by Irish wine lovers, Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, with Stephen Carrier and well known Bordeaux consultant Hubert de Bouard making the wines. The 70ha of vines are on average 30 years old, with 10 hectares dedicated solely to the production of white wines.
