Tasted at the syndicat de Pomerol. A deep purple/garnet colour, the Bellegrave ’10 has a refined, very pure bouquet with dark berries, boysenberry, crushed stone and just touch of violet. Good definition and poise, though tightly coiled at the moment. The palate is medium-blodied with a grainy entry, soft supple tannins, quite minerally on the finish where the Cabernet Franc takes over and says : I’m in charge. Tasted april 2011.
