Basil Hayden draws its uniqueness from a dosage of rye twice as high as other bourbons. The contrast between the spices of rye and the sweet sweetness of corn offers a fruity and spicy aromatic bouquet. The peppery notes are offset by a hint of citrus and a warm finish. Aged 8 years, this relatively sweet small batch (40°) can be enjoyed on its own or in a cocktail, accompanied by a Ginger Ale Fever Tree for example.
