The behemoth of the industry needs no introduction, surely? Gordon's gin is one of the top ten-selling spirits in the world and has been made with the same recipe since the late 18th Century. The sweet orange peel and juniper are first to stand out on the nose with coriander following soon after. The body of the gin is neither too rich nor too thin with just a touch of oil. The finish is clean and crisp and the botanicals really work in harmony with the sweet notes matching up to the earthy, savoury notes. While perhaps the finish could be a bit longer, this is nonetheless a classic gin and would be perfectly fine in a martini.

Gordon's Garden

Ingredients:
- 50 ml Gordon's London Dry Gin
- 20 ml elderflower liqueur
- 20 ml fresh lemon juice
- 10 ml honey syrup
- 5 fresh basil leaves
- 1 slice of cucumber
- Tonic water

Instructions:
1. In a shaker, muddle the basil leaves and cucumber slice.
2. Add the gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and honey syrup.
3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.
4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
5. Top up with tonic water and stir gently.
6. Garnish with a sprig of fresh basil and a slice of cucumber.
