Savennières is a small appellation located on the north bank of the Loire River in the Anjou region of France's Loire Valley. The appellation covers approximately 145 hectares of vineyard land spread across three communes: Savennières, Bouchemaine, and La Possonnière. It gained AOC status in 1952 and is dedicated exclusively to white wine production.

The vineyards are situated on steep, south-facing slopes composed primarily of volcanic schist and sandstone soils from the Armorican Massif.
