Domaine Robert Groffier is a renowned producer of Chambolle Musigny wines, with a particular focus on the Les Amoureuses 1er Cru. The history of the estate dates back to the early 20th century, when Robert Groffier's grandfather began cultivating vines in the region. Today, the estate is run by Robert's son, Nicolas, who continues the family tradition of producing exceptional wines.

The Les Amoureuses 1er Cru is one of the most sought-after wines from Domaine Robert Groffier. This vineyard is located in the heart of Chambolle Musigny, and is known for producing wines with a delicate, floral character. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before being fermented in oak barrels. The wine is then aged in oak for up to 18 months, resulting in a complex, nuanced wine with a long finish.

Domaine Robert Groffier also produces a range of other Chambolle Musigny wines, including a village-level wine and several premier cru wines. These wines are all made with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality as the Les Amoureuses 1er Cru.

Overall, Domaine Robert Groffier is a producer that is highly respected in the world of Burgundy wines. Their wines are known for their elegance, finesse, and complexity, and are sought after by collectors and enthusiasts around the world. If you are looking for a Chambolle Musigny wine that truly embodies the spirit of the region, Domaine Robert Groffier is an excellent choice.

A fine deep purple. Plumper softer richer on the nose at first sniff but very soon develops a depth and a refinement, with darker fruit. The 2021 reminds Nicolas of the 2006 Amoureuses. Lower acidity helps give the impression of sumptuousness, and the light astringency of the vinification adds the necessary tension. Gorgeous aftertaste.
Rich and complex nose on red fruits, bergamot, spices, white pepper and slightly toasted notes. Ample and silky on the palate; the tannins are very fine. We find in the mouth a lot of complexity; amplitude, freshness, balance and length determine this great wine. To be decanted for 3 hours and to be enjoyed within 20 years with game, for example.
The 2005 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses offers gorgeous aromas of black raspberry, bergamot, orange zest, narcissus and white pepper. Lovely deep, dark fruit shadings with subtle chalkiness and fresh, raw meatiness along with persistent inner-mouth florality inform a firmly but finely tannic and expansive palate. This really sticks to the gums, with a superb smoky, sappy, pungent persistence.

This family business has been working vines in Morey-Saint-Denis since the 19th century. The Groffier estate is, like Burgundy, a small holding of eight hectares. Nicolas Groffier, represents the fourth generation. The plots he cultivates are all on the Côte de Nuits, in the great terroirs of Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. A small estate that produces very great red Burgundy wines, in particular the Bonnes Mares grand cru.

Le chardonnay est le premier cépage des vins blancs de Bourgogne, avec 48 % de l'encépagement et 68 % de la production. Le chardonnay apprécie le sol marneux de la Bourgogne, qui lui confère de délicats arômes floraux, fruités et minéraux, ainsi que des saveurs corsées. L'aligoté est le deuxième cépage blanc, avec 6 % de la production. {En savoir plus sur l'ancien cépage aligoté en Bourgogne.}
