Opening in the glass with aromas of plums and cassis mingled with subtle hints of peonies and spices, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, succulent acids and fine, powdery tannins that gently assert themselves on the finish. It's a voluptuous, fruit-driven Pruliers from Gouges, and it will offer a broad drinking window.
Retains plenty of vibrant red fruit entwined with subtle oak. Complex flavours of redcurrant and wild strawberry with a mineral edge.About the ProducerThe Gouges family has been an institution in Nuits-Saint-Georges for more than 80 years. Today it is Gregory who takes over from his uncle Christian. The latter leaves him an area of 15 hectares ideally maintained, and new installations, where gravity is now required and where quality should still cross a step, always with the same family motto that serves as a guideline for each generation : "It is to the vine that the great wines ripen ..."The estate's white wines come from a vine of pinot noir with white berries developed in the 1930s by Henri Gouges, the founder of the estate. This grape variety is listed officially under the name of "pinot gouges".

Uvas principales:

La Pinot Noir es originaria de Borgoña y estas cepas cubren el 34% de la región, lo que supone el 29% de la producción total de vino.
