Vinous 94-96 points: 'The 2017 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a very expressive bouquet with violet-tinged blackberry and boysenberry fruit, well defined and quite precise. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, taut and linear for a Bonnes-Mares but the coiled-up energy is palpable here. There is such energy on the finish that you know that this will turn into an exceptionally fine Bonnes-Mares. Recommended.'

Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is a distinguished wine estate based in the famous village of Gevrey-Chambertin, in the Burgundy region of France. The Drouhin family has been involved in winemaking since the 19th century, and today the estate is managed by Philippe Drouhin, alongside his daughter Caroline. The family owns significant parcels in some of the most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, including Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze and Musigny, which contribute to the estate's high reputation.

Domaine Drouhin-Laroze focuses on producing Pinot Noir with traditional Burgundian techniques, reflecting the deep knowledge and passion the family has for winemaking. The domaine practices sustainable viticulture, aiming to maintain the health of the vineyard soil and the surrounding environment.

La chardonnay es la uva principal de los vinos blancos de Borgoña, con un 48% de las viñas y un 68% de la producción. La chardonnay aprecia el suelo de marga de Borgoña, que le confiere delicados aromas florales, frutales y minerales y sabores con cuerpo. La aligoté es la segunda uva blanca, con un 6% de producción. {Más información sobre la antigua uva Aligoté en Borgoña.}

Bonnes Mares is a highly sought-after wine producer located in the Burgundy region of France. The vineyard is situated in the Côte de Nuits area, which is known for producing some of the finest Pinot Noir wines in the world. The name Bonnes Mares is derived from the French words "bonnes" meaning good and "mares" meaning land, which is a testament to the quality of the soil in this region.

The history of Bonnes Mares dates back to the 16th century when the vineyard was owned by the Cistercian monks. The vineyard changed hands several times over the centuries, and it wasn't until the 20th century that it gained recognition as one of the top wine producers in Burgundy. Today, Bonnes Mares is owned by a group of investors who are committed to preserving the vineyard's rich history and producing exceptional wines.

The style of production at Bonnes Mares is traditional and focused on quality. The vineyard is managed using sustainable farming practices, and the grapes are handpicked and sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used in the winemaking process. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for up to 18 months, which imparts a subtle oak flavor and enhances the wine's complexity.

Bonnes Mares produces both red and white wines, but it is best known for its Pinot Noir. The Pinot Noir grapes grown in this region are known for their intense flavor and aroma, which are a result of the unique terroir of the Côte de Nuits. The wine is medium-bodied with a deep ruby color and a complex bouquet of red fruit, earthy notes, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is rich and velvety with a long, smooth finish.

In addition to its Pinot Noir, Bonnes Mares also produces a small amount of Chardonnay. The Chardonnay grapes grown in this region are known for their minerality and acidity, which give the wine a crisp, refreshing taste. The wine is aged in oak barrels, which adds a subtle vanilla flavor and enhances the wine's complexity.

Overall, Bonnes Mares is a top-tier wine producer that is known for its exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyard's rich history, traditional style of production, and commitment to quality make it a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts.
