Fernet Branca

Fratelli Branca Distillerie is an Italian distillery founded in Milan in 1845 by Bernardino Branca. The company produces Fernet-Branca, a bitter herbal liqueur that has become one of the most recognizable amari in the world. While the original production remains in Italy, the brand has established operations in Argentina, where it has gained particular cultural significance and popularity since the early 20th century.

Fernet-Branca is crafted using a closely guarded recipe of 27 herbs and spices, including myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, and saffron. The botanicals are macerated in grape alcohol, then aged in oak barrels for at least one year. This process creates the liqueur's distinctive dark color and intensely bitter, medicinal flavor profile with complex herbal notes. The recipe has remained unchanged since its creation and is known only to the Branca family.

The current range includes the classic Fernet-Branca as well as Fernet-Branca Menta, which incorporates additional mint for a more refreshing character while maintaining the signature bitter backbone. Both expressions are bottled at 39% alcohol by volume and represent the traditional Italian approach to digestive liqueurs.
