Tasting Notes
Ripe black cherry, blackberry and plum on the nose, with garrigue herbs, black pepper and a hint of liquorice. Full-bodied and warm on the palate, with firm, grippy tannins and dark-fruit density. The finish is long, savoury and spiced.
Located in the hinterland in the Corbières , this property is distinguished by its very old Carignan vines , a Mediterranean grape variety rehabilitated in the production of great Languedoc wines . The exceptional soil allows deep rooting, protecting the vineyard from Mediterranean climatic excesses (water stress, violent storms). This 2022 has an intense nose of ripe fruit enhanced by the toasted notes of aging. Harmonious on the palate and endowed with a rich and generous fruitiness, this sure value will fully reveal itself after a few years of aging.
This wine delivers glorious aromas of garrigue, blackberries and black olives on the nose. It's full-bodied and concentrated, with creamy-velvety tannins that effortlessly support the mass of fruit, and boasts a lingering finish spiced with salted liquorice.
This medium-bodied, dark ruby-colored wine reveals nicely integrated barrel notes, along with earthy, black-cherry and raspberry fruit. Its primary characteristics are its ripeness and fleshy, soft texture.
