Holdvolgy is a wine producer based in the Tokaji region of Hungary, specializing in the area's renowned sweet wines. The Tokaji region, located in northeastern Hungary, has been producing sweet dessert wines for centuries and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unique winemaking traditions and exceptional terroir.

The Tokaji region is famous for its distinctive sweet wines made using grapes affected by Botrytis cinerea, or "noble rot," which concentrates the sugars and creates complex flavors. The traditional Puttonyos system classifies these wines based on sweetness levels, with 6 Puttonyos representing one of the sweetest categories. The region's volcanic soils, combined with the Bodrog and Tisza rivers creating ideal microclimatic conditions, produce the perfect environment for this noble rot to develop.
