Domaine La Courtade

Domaine La Courtade is a renowned wine producer located on the beautiful island of Porquerolles, situated off the coast of the French Riviera. The estate, spanning over 40 hectares, is known for producing exceptional wines that showcase the best of the Provence region.

The history of Domaine La Courtade dates back to the 17th century when the island was acquired by the De Rovère family. It was in the 1970s that the estate was transformed into a vineyard by the current owners, the Sibran family. Today, the estate is managed by the fourth generation of the Sibran family, who continue to uphold the traditions and values that have been passed down through the generations.

The vineyards of Domaine La Courtade are blessed with a unique terroir, consisting of clay and limestone soils with a maritime influence from the nearby Mediterranean Sea. This, combined with the warm Mediterranean climate, creates the perfect conditions for growing a variety of grapes, including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault.

The estate is dedicated to producing high-quality organic wines, with a focus on sustainable viticulture practices. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used in the winemaking process. The wines are crafted using traditional techniques, with minimal intervention, to preserve the natural flavors and characteristics of the grapes.

Domaine La Courtade is best known for its rosé wines, which are a true reflection of the Provence region. The estate produces three different rosé wines, each with its own unique flavour profile. The flagship wine, the Cuvée Grand Blanc, is a blend of Grenache and Cinsault, and is a perfect balance of freshness and complexity.
