The new XO blend is a perfect expression of the House of Camus’ uncompromising quest for the most intensely aromatic cognacs. The culmination of advanced distillation, finishing and blending techniques developed over five generations of the same family, Camus XO is a cognac which truly evolves on the palate into a journey of emotions and sensations. On the nose the CAMUS XO cognac contains savoury aromas of bitter apricot and oranges, as well as notes of exotic fruit and a dash of deep cacao. On the palate, it is first silky with a honey-like texture and an intense florality, a direct result of the Instensity process. Its character then gradually evolves towards spiced and toasted flavors, which come from the finishing process inside re-toasted cognac barrels. Lastly, it leaves with a long and intense finish, full of dark aromas of vanilla and cinnamon, drawn from the cognac's long maturation inside the oak casks.

Cognac is a type of brandy that is produced in the Cognac region of France. The history of Cognac dates back to the 16th century, when Dutch traders began distilling wine to create a spirit that could withstand long sea voyages. The process of making Cognac involves distilling wine twice in copper pot stills, and then aging the resulting spirit in oak barrels for a minimum of two years.

One of the most highly ranked Cognac producers is Hennessy. Founded in 1765, Hennessy is the largest Cognac producer in the world. Their Cognacs are known for their smoothness and complexity, with notes of vanilla, oak, and fruit. Hennessy produces a range of Cognacs, from their entry-level VS (Very Special) to their high-end Paradis Imperial.

Another highly ranked Cognac producer is Remy Martin. Founded in 1724, Remy Martin is known for their high-quality Cognacs that are aged for longer than the minimum two years. Their Cognacs are characterized by their rich, fruity flavors and aromas, with notes of apricot, peach, and honey. Remy Martin produces a range of Cognacs, from their VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) to their Louis XIII, which is aged for up to 100 years.

Courvoisier is another highly ranked Cognac producer. Founded in 1809, Courvoisier is known for their smooth, elegant Cognacs that are aged for longer than the minimum two years. Their Cognacs are characterized by their floral and fruity aromas, with notes of jasmine, iris, and violet. Courvoisier produces a range of Cognacs, from their VS to their XO (Extra Old).

Martell is also a highly ranked Cognac producer. Founded in 1715, Martell is known for their smooth, well-balanced Cognacs that are aged for longer than the minimum two years. Their Cognacs are characterized by their fruity and spicy flavors, with notes of apricot, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Martell produces a range of Cognacs, from their VS to their Cordon Bleu.

In addition to these top Cognac producers, there are also a number of smaller, boutique producers that are highly ranked in Google searches. These producers often focus on producing Cognacs that are aged for longer than the minimum two years, and that have unique flavor profiles. Some of these producers include Frapin, Delamain, and Hine.
