Vietti

Vietti is based in Castiglione Falletto, in the Langhe area, and has 34-hectares of vines. It was founded in 1873 by Carlo Vietti and it has been a key player in the history of Barolo. The domaine has grown progressively over the years and currently the vineyards include some of the most highly-prized terroirs within the Barolo wine-growing region.

The Vietti family has been making wine for four generations, however one of the key moments for the winery was in the 1960s, when Luciana Vietti married Alfredo Currado, winemaker and art connoisseur. Currado’s innovative approach was very important in many different ways, from the production of one of the first Barolo crus in 1961, through the single-varietal vinification of Arneis in 1967, to the invention of Artist Labels in 1974.
