2019 was a cool vintage in Margaret River, and in terms of quality, it produced aromatic, detailed Cabernets of poise and grace. This 2019 Filius Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception. It has powdery tannin, kelp and iodine in the mix, too, with raspberry compote, black tea and a squeeze of pomegranate.
Vasse Felix is ​​the oldest winery in the Margaret River region of Australia, an exceptional region for producing high quality wine, thanks to its Mediterranean climate. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and blended with limited racking to help preserve its delicate wild character, this balanced red wine is structured with opulent aromas of cassis, herbs and flowers leading to a medium-bodied palate with firm and silky tannins, and a fresh and lively finish. Extremely well designed. Drink and enjoy now, but it will get even better after some time in the cellar.
